    * Outdated * Alliance Rules

THE RULES HERE ARE OUTDATED AND FOR ARCHIVAL PERPOSES ONLY.  Please click here fot the current [Sins] Alliance rules.

Rules are made to help out the community so we are able to play in a nice enjoyment environment. We do not enjoy enforcing those rules so please obey them as much as possible. If you have any suggestions or feel the rules are unreasonable, please give your suggestions.

    1. The Alliance Chat can get overwhelm pretty fast as you should all know. You shouldn't use the chat for, Swearing, Insulting, Fighting, Begging, Buying / Selling / Trading / Price Checking, and Spamming. Alliance chat shouldn’t be a casual/free talk environment but should be used for faction farming, PvP and general Guild Wars help. Only officers should be controlling Alliance Chat to minimize spam and creating problems between guilds. Be polite, people forget and sometimes put WTB/etc in the wrong channel.

~ COMMON COURTSEY IN AC ~

      • Ask in Guild Chat FIRST, then wiki it
        • http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Main_Page
      • WTF = What the ***, it is NOT PERMITTED, FFS = For *** Sake, it is NOT PERMITTED, (ETC...)
      • Just because it does not have WTB/WTS in the text does not mean it is OK
      • If you think what you are going to say in AC is remotely questionable, don't say it
      • If someone says something you don't like DO NOT RESPOND, contact an officer in the persons guild
        • OFFICERS SHOULD HAVE AC ON AT ALL TIMES
        • Responding to someone breaking the rules creates more spam, LET OFFICERS HANDLE IT.
    1. Officers need to help enforce the rules if members get out of hand. If members in a specific guild get out of hand, other Guild Officers and Guild Leaders will contact the officers in that Guild to try to get it under control.
    2. If the officers can’t handle the situation the leader will have too. The leader will be given 24 hours (If he is not logged on) to deal with it, before the Guild receives its first warning.
    3. Guilds may not actively recruit players already in the alliance. A player requesting to join another guild in the alliance is acceptable, however should notify their officers or Guild Leader.
    4. If the specific Guild is given 2 warnings, it'll be kicked once and for all.

Regarding Harassment of other Alliance members

Individual Guilds within the Sins Alliance may have their own rules and requirements in addition to the above Alliance wide rules.  Click on the following links to view these rules:

    Updated Alliance Rules about Harassment

No member/officer/leader is allowed to harass another Sins Alliance member for any reason in Guild Wars by whisper, in the member’s guild hall, or on Alliance Chat.  People who are the target of harassment by another alliance member need to get a screenshot of the in-game conversation, dated after June 10, 2007, and email it to valens@sinsalliance.com or gman@sinsalliance.com (Ghanima Fedayken’s email).  Screenshots must be unaltered with the original name and have the chat screen fully expanded and show several lines before the incident occurred, and several lines after.  You need to include your characters name, the guild you are in, the guild the problem member is in, and an explanation of what has transpired between yourself and the other member in the past.  If you respond to the harassment in any negative way to defend yourself, I will not help you, and it may cause action to be taken toward yourself as well.

Myself, Ghanima Fedayken, and the 2 guild leaders of the members with the problem will review each case.  We will interview both sides by team chat, or ventrilo, and decide if it is serious enough to require action. The action will be as follows:

The member accused of harassment will either be kicked immediately, and banned from the alliance, or given 1 last chance if the his/her Guild leader is unwilling to kick.  If given 1 last chance, the following will apply:

    • Member may NEVER harass the plaintiff or ANY OTHER MEMBER of the alliance ever again.  Screenshot of the member dated after initial incidence will be required to get the person kicked once and for all.
    • Member isn’t allowed to use AC for any other reason except to get a group for a quest/mission/AB or FFF. Screenshot of the member dated after initial incidence will be required to get the person kicked once and for all.
    • The member isn’t allowed to harass anyone on Ventrilo, or post anything on the Sins alliance forums that negatively reflects another alliance person.  This will cause a Ventrilo/website ban, and or kick from the alliance.
    • The Member isn’t allowed to use any other member to harass the plaintiff, or anyone involved in the dispute.  Action will get BOTH harassing members kicked if enough evidence is supplied.
    • Fake or altered screenshots will not be tolerated, and will cause the sender to be kicked, and banned.  I have the means to determine fakes, so don't even try your luck.

If the Guild leader still isn’t willing to kick the person after a second offence has been committed, and confirmed, the guild will be kicked from the alliance, and a full explanation of everything including names, dates and places will be disclosed on the Sins Alliance website explaining the entire incident.

I find it utterly disappointing to go to these extremes for a game, but childish behavior will not be tolerated in such a professional Alliance.  Please don’t waste our time with troubles between 2 people from the same guild.  This is your Guild Leader’s problem, not an alliance issue.
