[TLS] was founded in May 2006, by 2 real life friends (Saracen Anchoress & Kage Hittokiri), my brother (Black Flagbearer) and myself. Factions was our introduction to the Guild Wars saga, and all four of us knew next to nothing about the game. As soon as we got the hang of it, we made our own guild and named it, "The Lost Saracens" due to real life experiences the four of us faced together.

Along our progression in the game, we discovered factions, Kurzick armor and the need for amber. Since I had no clue that towns can be owned through faction donations, I gathered amber through farming faction from the 'Duel of the Houses" quest in the Drazach Thicket. I did manage to get the 15k armor for my ranger before Anet finally nerfed that quest. After that I never farmed faction in any form whatsoever.

Then we discovered Alliance Battles, the Kurzick alliance titles and the fact that guilds/alliances with high faction will be given control of outposts or towns. That was when I started donating factions, not so much for owning a town, but for the esteemed 'Friend of the Kurzick' title. Back then, Kage, Saracen and Black wasn't interested in going for that title.

After donating about a 100K factions to the guild, I started recruiting those who were interested in AB. Naturally no one signed up, except one player who came to be known as my closest aide in the factions race that was heading our way. His name is Tsyr Elunai.

When we managed to attain approximately 300k factions, I started searching for an alliance to join. And to my surprise, someone I can't remember referred me to Mean Black Dude (MBD for short). I had no idea who he was so I decided to give it a shot. As soon as I found out that he's the leader of the infamous [WHOA] alliance, I jumped. Other than the Komalis Protectors [oOo], We High Online Always [WHOA] was one of the leading alliances back then.

MBD agreed to get me into his alliance for a probationary period. As soon as we got in, MBD personally taught me how to farm faction at Lutgardis. Although many people dislike MBD, I personally appreciate the fact that he taught me something which turned out to be the only thing I would ever do in GW, Lutgardis FF.

There were 2 players in that alliance to whom I am very grateful with. One of them was Naomi Tsubasa. Naomi personally taught Tsyr Elunai how to FF and gave us glimpses on what is to be known as fast factions farming (FFF). The other one was Dumb Poo aka Lord Fissure of Woe.

So we were in the WHOA alliance and we held Amatz Basin. TLS didn't look too good because it only had 500K factions, the guild with the least factions in that alliance. At that time, an ally, Your Mom And Dad [MaD] had 3 million factions and the rest had at least 1 million factions.

Then the drama started. Someone from another guild started talking nonsense on A/C and it got so messy that MBD had to kick the guild to which that member is affiliated. TLS was also kicked from the alliance, without any warning whatsoever. I figured it was probably because of our low factions and the fact that Neteru Re Xefta [FUto] was closing in behind [WHOA].

Although I sought for an explanation on why we were kicked, MBD never got back to me. So that left me and Tsyr (the main donators) distraught. We still farmed faction due to our interest in the titles.

During that period, we searched for any small alliance that would be interested to take us in. That was when we found Team Kandoservers [TKS]. This alliance only had 4-5 guilds at that time, and Victory Is Life Eternal [VILE] was one of the guilds in that humble alliance.

[TKS] had ambitions to own a town but they only knew how to gather factions through AB. Since [TLS] had the most factions in that alliance (600K), I decided to teach the alliance how to FF at Lutgardis. Most really didn't grasp the idea of running around repeatedly to gain faction. [TKS] alliance never grew, but I had the priviledge to make friends with trustworthy players. One of them is Annata Scatha, [VILE] leader.

During that time, MBD started talking to me again and apologized for the unnecessary kick. He made a deal with me to rejoin his alliance as [WHOA]'s brother guild. The deal involved [TLS] matching [WHOA]'s cape and the sending of [WHOA] officers to assist [TLS] in gaining factions. I agreed and immediately left [TKS].

This is where Lord Fissure of Woe really came into the picture. MBD sent him to assist us in increasing our factions, and he did just that. Around 6 people started to hardcore FF and Lord taught me how to FFF using the Assassin skills. Less than a week in the new [WHOA] alliance and [TLS] hit its first million. That was when more people started having an interest to join [TLS] and started noticing us.

Guilds in the new [WHOA] alliance included: Immix Guilde [TIG], The Scourge Of Tyria [TSOT], I Zen I [Zen], Elite Farmers Guild [EfG], Rebels With Cause Two [rwct], Department Of Motor Vehicles [DMV], International Superstars [INS], Kurzick Armada [Ka], We High Online Always [WHOA] and [TLS].

[EfG], [INS] and [WHOA] were the powerhouse guilds back then, each of them maintaining at least 3 million factions. [TLS] steadily beat all the other guilds in the alliance except for those 3 guilds. Due to internal conflicts in [oOo], Kurzick Mafia [MOB] left them to join the [WHOA] alliance, replacing [TSOT] (whose factions were rapidly decaying). This was when the [oOo] alliance started to weaken. To cut the story short, [oOo] finally lost their hold of the House and MBD finally achieved his dream to take the House away from [oOo] even for at least 2-3 days.

When the [WHOA] alliance took hold of the House, a lot of guilds in the alliance started to stop faction farming except for [EfG], [Zen], [INS], [Ka] and [TLS]. Meanwhile the top guilds in the [oOo] alliance started to form a new alliance. Those guilds which were led by The Elite Of The Elites [EOE], were The Kaizen Order [Kaiz], Iron Sulfide [Fes] and We Are From Poland [Pol]. This new alliance started talking to the powerhouse guilds in the [WHOA] alliance.

Without any notice, [INS] left [WHOA] to join [EOE]. [EOE] was right behind [WHOA]. Noticing the factions decay from the other guilds in the [WHOA] alliance, [EfG] (led by Nborns Smiter), [Zen] (led by Battle Angel) and [TLS] planned on leaving [WHOA] simultaneously to join [EOE]. After owning the House for only a couple of days under [WHOA], [EfG], [Zen] and [TLS] left [WHOA] and made the House available for the [EOE] alliance.

The guild leaders of this new alliance had its first meeting and we agreed not to let [MOB] into the alliance due to their unruly behaviour of alliance-hopping. This decision indefinitely caused [MOB] to die out of the factions race.

It is interesting to note that Aaron The Quick and Pimp My Staff were both previously from [WHOA]. They were invited to join us when we left the [WHOA] alliance. 

At that time, [EOE] (led by D Gamer) was the only guild to maintain 5 million factions. [TLS] kept beating every single one of the guilds in that alliance and finally managed to earn more factions than [EOE]. During that period, the alliance leader, D Gamer left the game temporarily due to real life issues.

Due to uncertainty, [EfG] and [Fes] left to form a new alliance. Nborns tried to convince me to join their new alliance but I wasn't interested. [TLS] kept increasing its factions until it hit 7 million, while [EOE] slowly decayed. Due to this, a meeting was held and it was decided that [TLS] should take over the lead, since it has the most factions in that alliance.

As soon as [TLS] took the lead, I convinced two guilds from the new [EfG] alliance to join us, namely, Legion Of Kurzick [LoK] and Heroes of Lore [LORE]. By doing so, our alliance lost our closest competitor. [EfG] and [Fes] apologized for their mistake and requested to rejoin the alliance. [EfG] was given a chance, [Fes] died after being rejected.
